Technical Support

We will coordinate with the IT department at your hospital before lessons begin to assure compatibility with your unit computers.  LER will provide technical support via telephone and email 7 days a week from 0800 to 2000 ET. Frequently asked questions are posted on the website.

Secure Course Access

Access to the course is secured by username and password. The facility will designate a coordinator for training to facilitate communication with LER. A course coordinator will determine the staff members who will participate in the program. The coordinator will provide this list of students names and email addresses to LER in Excel format, and the LER tech support team will load the information into LER’s Learning Management System.

Our training program will address three key issues:

  • Accessibility to all lessons at convenient times (24/7/365)
  • Behavior changing training
  • Cost effectiveness

Our lessons are recorded in a webcast format so the learner sees the power point slides and hears the speaker’s voice. Each lesson is 20-45 minutes in length so students can access the materials when they have a short window of time, or can do several lessons when they have a longer period of time to devote to it. Each lesson is sprinkled with realistic hospital scenarios, links out to relevant web pages, and contains quick quizzes and “fast facts”.

We know you want enthusiastic staff when they are finished with the training. Staff who know how to help breastfeeding mothers in the most effective way and why it is important. Our course was built with this in mind. Staff will feel empowered to help mothers and to effect the changes that are needed to meet the BFHI criteria. Request a Quick Quote!

Typical training programs where students attend on-site training classes require enormous amounts of staff time and can become costly. Programs need to be developed, classes need to be repeated so all staff members can attend and attendance needs to be monitored. This all adds to training costs. An e-learning program is a great solution allowing fixed costs so there are no surprises when all staff has not yet been completely trained and you have come to the end of your budget.

A common concern of online programs is effectiveness and learner engagement. The webinar slides need to be manually advanced so that the student cannot just start the lesson running and walk away. The course is interesting with fast paced visual and audio components. It is loaded with images. In addition, we have planned several types of engaging content and pop quizzes that will involve the student along the way.
